Aura’s take up swimming campaign gives all swimmers €5 off

Aura Leisure Centres have launched a three week campaign to encourage local families to take up swimming and to inspire people of all ages to take the first step towards learning how to swim.

Anyone taking part in a range of swimming activities at the centres at any time between Monday, February 8th and Monday, March 1st inclusive will be entitled to a €5 discount as part of the campaign.*

“Swimming is the one activity that can be enjoyed by people of all ages from infancy right through to old age and we want to reward those choosing to have fun and to exercise in our pools,” said Josephine Pepper, Aura Eastern Regional Manager.

“Hundreds of swimmers enjoy using our pools each week and we have something to suit everyone. The €5 off campaign is all about making it as easy and cost effective as possible for people to sample our range of swim activities and to find one that works for them,” she added.

The campaign is great news for parents who want to introduce their children to swimming or for adults who want to learn more about Aura’s hugely popular Aquafit classes which are a form of water aerobics.

“Our Parent and Toddler Sessions allow mums and dads to share the fun and magic of water with their child and to introduce their children to water from an early age. Parents can also enjoy Family Fun Sessions and the pools are also available for kids’ birthday parties,” Josephine explained.

“Older children who are serious about learning to swim can join the Aura Swim Academy and can also continue on to our Rookie Lifeguard course where life saving skills are taught in a family fun environment,” she added.

The €5 discount offer is also good news for anyone wishing to take up lane coaching, to enjoy adult swimming, or who is intrigued by Aura’s Aquafit classes which are by far the most popular exercise class at the leisure centres.

“Aquafit is easily our most in demand fitness class. It is low impact and the cushioning effect of the water protects the joints in the spine, ankle, knees and hips making it ideal for those with arthritis, recovering from injury, or looking for a total body workout,” Josephine explained.
