Aura host fun BBQ night for members

Dundalk people looking for a great night’s entertainment need look no further than Aura Dundalk Leisure Centre who are throwing their members an end of summer barbeque on Friday, September 11th. .

Aura is one of the most popular sports and recreational centres in Dundalk and staff at the centre have organised a host of activities for members to enjoy on the night.

All of the action gets underway at 6p.m. with a selection of activities on offer including dancing, dare devil games and for the more adventurous a rodeo bull will be on site. Members and their guests will be treated to a barbeque and refreshments and music will also be part of the evening’s line up with a resident DJ on hand to keep everyone entertained.

“Our annual members’ barbeque is an ideal way to mark the end of the summer and we have plenty in store on the night for all to enjoy. Our members and customers are our top priority at Aura and this is our way of thanking them for their loyal support during the year,” explained Sarah Byrne, Operations Manager at Aura Dundalk Leisure Centre.

“The annual barbeque has always proved to be hugely popular as it gives our members a chance to unwind and enjoy themselves in a relaxed atmosphere. It is also a great way for us to get some feedback from members about the centre. We are constantly striving to improve our services and want to ensure that all of our members get the most out of our top class facilities,” added Sarah.

Aura is also reminding parents that they are now taking enrolments for their upcoming ‘Swim Academy.’

“The Aura ‘Swim Academy’ suits children of all swimming standards as each child who enrols on the course is assessed on their first day and assigned to a class which reflects their ability instead of their age. In this way, they are learning alongside swimmers of the same standard and progressing at their own pace,” explained Sarah.

Aura’s experienced instructors will be on hand to guide each child through the basics of swimming and improve their skills through a programme of gradual progression and motivation.

Aura ‘Swim Academy’ costs €73 for the 10-week session. Aura members, and families who sign up three or more children on the course, will receive a 10% discount.
