Free health advice and fitness classes on offer for all at
‘Aura Drogheda Health and Fitness Night’

People in Drogheda have the perfect opportunity to get their summer fitness programme up and running thanks to a fun Open Night taking place at Aura Drogheda Leisure Centre on Tuesday, August 11th.

Aura’s fully qualified gym instructors are scheduled to hold three free half hour fitness classes from 6.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. and will be on hand to meet all visitors on the night and dispense advice on any health and fitness-related queries.

The classes on offer include ‘Total Aerobics’ which starts at 7 p.m., ‘Spin’ class which starts at 7.30 p.m. and the ‘Cardio Dance” class which starts at 8 p.m.

“Aura offers everyone, whatever their age or fitness level, the opportunity to improve their health and fitness and to have fun. Anyone is welcome to come and try out the free classes and we are encouraging people to pre-book their place as soon as possible as the classes are filling up fast,” explained Operations Manager at Aura Drogheda Leisure Centre, Michelle Finnan.

“Visitors can also get advice from our instructors, make an appointment for a free fitness assessment, or simply watch the classes and see what they involve.”

The Open Night will also give visitors the opportunity to inspect all of the facilities at the centre, which include a 25 metre pool, learner pool, a state of the art gym and health suite.

There will also be light refreshments available on the night from local health food providers. Representatives from Health food companies ‘Good Health’ and ‘Holland and Barrett’ will also be on hand to provide sample products and advise people on any nutritional or dietary questions they may have.

“People will learn so much from this open night. It will be a great way to spend the evening so we are encouraging everyone to come along, join in the fun and see how we can help you achieve your health and fitness goals for summer 2009,” added Michelle.
